During the last two decades steel P-91 (10CrMoVNb9-1) and R-92 (10CrMoVNb9-2) is successfully used for construction of new and reconstruction of existing power generation units in and out of Russia.
Use of steel P-91 (10CrMoVNb9-1) and P-92 (10CrMoVNb9-2) is technically and economically feasible for construction of the power generating units with combined cycle gas turbine units (CCGT). Use of the said steel grades allows to increase the efficiency of power plants due to the fact, that the pipelines can be operated at critical parameters, such as temperatures up to 620oС and pressures up to 30 MPa.
Use of steel P-91 (10CrMoVNb9-1) allows, on retention of other strength characteristics, to reduce the boiler pipe and steam line wall thickness, resulting in a substantial metal consumption reduction. The materials used for manufacture of the pipeline parts are supplied by Vallourec & Mannesmann, Tubacex, Wyman Gordon and Productos Tubulares.

Our company is one of the leaders in implementation of the pipelines made from steel grades P-91 (10CrMoVNb9-1) and P-92 (10CrMoVNb9-2). We performed research work oriented to development of the pipeline manufacturing technology using the said steel grades, which allowed us to supply more than 1500 tons of the products for Russian power plants, including Nizhnevartovskaya GRES Power Plant, Yuzhnouralskaya GRES Power Plant-2, Verkhnetagilskaya GRES Power Plant and Permskaya GRES Power Plant.
